Male/Female & Supra Pubic Catheterisation (Cohort 46)

This training is for all Registered Nurses and Non Registered staff working within Cumbria who have catheterisation as part of their role.

Prior to attending staff are required to have completed their catheterisation eLearning which can be found via the usual mandatory training route. This can be found by searching on ESR for:

For staff previously employed by CPFT prior to the merger: 262 catheterisation eLearning 

For staff previously employed by NCUH prior to the merger: 261 catheterisation eLearning 

Please bring your certificate of completion to the training

This course will help you develop, support and/or update your skills and knowledge re Catheterisation including:

• Revision of anatomy
• Awareness of the complications & contraindications of catheterisation
• Knowledge of the procedures of urethral & suprapubic catheterisation
• Catheter maintenance
