We are delighted to announce that LOC in the Lakes will return in spring 2022!

The focus of the conference next year will be 'working together for population health', and we will be taking some time to think about prevention and health inequalities.

"There are stark differences in health outcomes across the UK – with a gap of almost 19 years in healthy life expectancy between the most and least deprived areas in England.

Inequalities in power, money and resources at local and national levels can make people’s daily lives more challenging.

... Everyone in society should have the opportunity to make healthy choices, live healthy lives and access high quality health and social care services."

The Health Foundation, 2021

At the conference, we are planning to share some inspiring stories, practical tools and innovative ideas, enabling you to perhaps think a bit differently about your own day-to-day work here in North Cumbria, and how you can play your part in levelling up health and care in our system.

We will be sharing more information about LOC in the Lakes 2022 in the new year.

In the meantime, if you would like to be one of the first to receive more details about the conference, please register your interest via info@theclic.org.uk
