Do you have a role that requires you to work effectively across boundaries for the benefit of our patients and service users to achieve better outcomes? This could be pathway redesign, improved flow or better collaborative working in order to make ongoing service improvements. 

Our new, three day 'Systems Thinking into Action - leading for joined up patient outcomes' programme will support with the skills, behaviours and knowledge to lead sustainable system improvements. It will be practical in nature and help you to design and work on your own interventions whilst learning at the same time.


The three modules that you will cover are:

  • Module one - Mind-set change for true system working
  • Module two - Solving the right problem in the right way with the right people and interventions
  • Module three - Designing cross-boundary interventions and making it happen


By the end of the three days, you will:

  • Understand and be able to demonstrate effective behaviours for system change, including how to remind resilient in the face of challenge
  • Be able to set goals with system thinking in mind
  • Know how to question the status quo by stepping out of your own mental valleys
  • Understand how to work at 'place' by putting the community at the centre of decision making
  • Have acquired some tools in co-designing, managing and measuring interventions
  • Know how to communicate a compelling narrative for change
