WHO IS IT FOR?

This workshop is for anyone that wants to develop their skills in service improvement – clinical and non-clinical facing.

ABOUT THE SESSION

This workshop will help you to understand some basic service improvement tools and methods that will help you to make successful improvements in your practice for the benefit of patients and service users.

The Cumbria Improvement System is a simple set of evidence-based steps and tools that will help you to:

• See value and waste from the service user’s perspective
• Define your problem and ensure you are solving the right problem
• Understand your ‘current state’ so that you can measure whether your change is an improvement
• Choose the right improvement intervention
• Engage others to support you with your improvement

There will be opportunity during the workshop to share any improvements that you are working on and seek support from the rest of the group through action learning.
